An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
